FOCUS 2023 in Madrid

INTRODUCTION

After much anticipation, tickets are already sold out for AGBU FOCUS. This AGBU Event is back and taking over the fabulous city of Madrid. Around 400 AGBU Young Professionals (YPs) from across the globe will explore the cosmopolitan Spanish city while enjoying a curated 4-day experience. This largest gathering of YPs offers networking opportunities, engaging talks and workshops, social and cultural events and so much more.

PROGRAM 

Between the 27th and 30th of July, participants will be offered several events depending on the tickets they bought, including:

  • A warm welcome on the first day
  • A series of talk with speakers in the grandiose Fundación Francisco Giner de los Ríos
  • A series of conferences and discussions on the next day, including the pitch competition by finalists of the AGBU Noubar Nazarian YP Innovators Fund (NNIF)
  • A party night on the evening of the 28th of July
  • After the club night, participants will be invited to explore the fusion of Armenian and Spanish cultures during the FOCUS on Art. 
  • On the night of the 29th, the famous FOCUS Gala night will take place and participants will be able to network and connect during the evening
  • On Sunday 30th of July a festive brunch will serve as closing eveng and will be an opportunity to say goodbye to all the news friends and contacts made during the FOCUS … until the next AGBU Event !

FUNDRAISING

AGBU FOCUS 2023 fundraising will be dedicated to support the women of Armenia and Artsakh through AGBU’s EmpowerHer programming.

EmpowerHer helps women from all regions of Armenia gain a leg up in their lives with professional development courses, mentorship connections and access to a growing number of like-minded women supporting women. With mindful programming through AGBU Women Entrepreneurs and AGBU Women Coders, over 400 women to date from throughout Armenia and Artsakh have completed courses, received guidance and some even received special grants to ensure success in building their business and finding jobs in the growing tech sector.
