Ernst-Ludwig Drayss

Ernst-Ludwig Drayss is a pioneering figure in German financial analysis and institutional
asset management who served as Managing Director and CIO of Deutsche Bank Group’s
international institutional asset management division and as Board Member of the British
investment bank Morgan Grenfell.

Drayss’s deep connection to Armenia began in 1994, when he was entrusted with managing
part of the country’s currency reserves. In 2002, he initiated a UNESCO cultural partnership
between the Geghard Monastery in Armenia and the Lorsch Abbey in Germany. A passionate
advocate for Armenian music, he has organized numerous concerts and tours, including
performances by the internationally renowned Geghard Monastery Choir at the
Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.

In 2012, the Central Bank of Armenia appointed him as an advisor for the country’s pension
reform. Since 2014, he has served as Chairman of C-Quadrat Ampega Asset Management
Armenia in Yerevan, managing the pension funds within Armenia’s new retirement system.
Drayss has received numerous honors, including the highest distinction of the Armenian
Apostolic Church, “Surb Nerses Shnorhali,” and the Certificate of Honor from the
Matenadaran Museum
