Dr. Puzant Baliozian is a Project Manager at the VDMA Photovoltaic Equipment Frankfurt and specializes in techno-economic studies for solar manufacturing. He represents the interests of European solar equipment manufacturers globally and is known for his contribution to the annually published and highly cited “International Technology Roadmap for Photovoltaic.”
He studied physics at the American University of Beirut and has a specialization in renewable energy from the University of Freiburg. He also completed his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing) at Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems, where he worked in the field of photovoltaics Production Technologies. He is best known for developing the passivated edge technology for solar device performance boost and has contributed to more than 25 scientific publications and several patents.
Dr. Baliozian has been involved with AGBU since childhood, with deep family roots within the organization. He participated in its scouts movement, athletics, cultural, and educational programs. He currently supports the executive board of AGBU Germany as a Consultant in socio-economic projects, particularly in the fields of education, science, and technology.
